Santa Delivery Schedule
I’ve been working on this data for the children that have started to figure out that there is no way Santa could make all the
deliveries to all the children of the world in one night. This information puts it all in perspective. I thought some of you might find it interesting to add to your stories.
There are actually three nights that Santa goes out… The Festival of St. Nicholas which is Dec. 6th, Christmas Day which is Dec. 25th, and Orthodox Christmas which is Jan. 7th.
There are also 59 countries that don’t celebrate Christmas some of which are China, India and of course all of the Arab countries. So out of the 7 Billion people on the planet, we only deliver to roughly 5,000,000 children on Dec. 5th, 526,085,400 children on Dec. 25th, and 11,500,000 children on Jan 6th.
The very first place that we deliver to is one of the Line Islands in the Indian Ocean known as Kiritimati Island or Christmas Island. It is an Australian territory with a population of 5,115 people.
Starting deliveries here give us about 26 hours of night to get the job done. We travel from North Pole to South Pole and move
Westerly as we fly back and forth.
By the way, deliveries start at 12 am Dec. 25th. I am never in a home before 12 am.
Christmas Island is 18 hours ahead of the east coast of the United States. So if I was at Christmas Island at 12 am Dec. 25th it would be 6 am Christmas Eve on the East Coast. So if, Santa is making deliveries to the world, he would not be able to be anywhere from 6 am Christmas Eve day until Dec. 26th at 2 am which is 26 hours later.
Also just so you have the information the very last place we deliver on Christmas is Attu Island which is the westernmost and largest island in the Near Islands group of the Aleutian Islands of Alaska and the westernmost point of land relative to Alaska. Population 20 people.
So the first place Santa goes is Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean and the last place we go is Attu Island which is the tip of the
Aleutian Islands of Alaska 26 hours later.
Of course all of this information is for the child and family who want to believe the fairy tale of us being able to deliver
half a billion children in one night. We know that the real job is done by numerous Santa Ambassadors.
